Episode 1 - You Can’t Fake a Good Putt

All I’m saying is, you can’t fake a good putt. You can get “lucky,” but it’s still your luck. And, if you haven’t experienced it…preparation and practice tend to make “luck” happen more often. Tour pros have caddies, executives have office assistants—to help them manage many details other things so that they can make focused, confident choices. The same is true with the GolfWords game.

With the internet at our fingertips, it is helpful to learn how to source, challenge, and use information in the same time—or more quickly—than if you had to act on no information at all. If you are playing with someone else, help them keep the game board mat clear so they can focus on their putts. Offer help brainstorming their word choices or looking them up if you choose to do that so they can focus on putting to a letter of choice. They can do the same for you.

If you can focus on your putting, Look up words for teammates so they can focus, if that’s their thing…as small as a bunch of putts may be, when you putt well…you just know something is working—and it’s more than just rolling the ball well. It’s incredible, though: how quickly we can create “easy” patterns to follow, such as setting up and putting consistently, with focus. GolfWords was made to help you build useful patterns that make more good putts. Also, maybe, to help you build your own “luck.”

So, if you need to use help with words, strategy, or even putting? It isn’t cheating at all, it’s just smart to engage that support. And you can’t fake a “good” putt, is all I’m saying.
